Why mock admission round fails ?

Assuming you will get exact options as mock admission round may be wrong assumption of you.There are many reasons behind failure of mock admission round than your just one assumption.

Failure of mock admissions is a chain reaction.If it starts breaking from one merit marks it will affect other all merit marks lagging it.

Reasons behind mock admission fails:

Mind change of a student.It can be mind change in two branches or mind change in two colleges.

Regional changes:If a new college opens in student's region and he decide to take admission in new college instead of going far away from hometown.

Other admissions: IIT JEE admissions,NIT admisssions,AIEEE based admissions like Management quota of Nirma University,Petroleum University will make great changes if gujarat students have ranked good in the competitive exams.

Outstate admissions:On believing mock admission results if some student is not getting admission is desired branch and if branch is main factor than he can go in out state for studies which will give +1 to students having less merit than him.

Economical problems: If a student is facing economical problem he may not opt college having high fees.So if he gets admission in such college he may go for college having less reputation and less fees.

For example a student has decided to take admission in Computer Engineering in xyz college.In mock round he gets admission in the xyz college and in same branch.Luckly he gets admission in his wanted branch and college.But it's mock admissions.

When the real admission comes he was more lucky and he got one more option IT branch of some high reputed college than xyz college.He decided to go with IT branch and the reputed college.This made one new seat(actually he is shifting his admission) for less merit students than him.So on occur of many such cases you will see a large difference in mock admission results and actual admission results.

So due to all these reasons mock admission can fail on large base.
